El Ensamble Galileo was formed in the year 2000. It has performed in places of a diverse nature, from those associated with this kind of music, such as chapels, museums, churches and concert halls, to open spaces, as was the case in the launching of the book The Cave, by the author José Saramago, in the main square of México City. In November 2001, they performed the concert “A Musical Soirée in the Convent” with the actress Ofelia Medina, for the conference Aproximaciones a Sor Juana, commemorating the 350th anniversary of the birth of the greatest poet from the viceroyalty. Galileo has also performed in different book-fairs and festivals throughout México, such as the Early Music Festival in the city of Querétaro.
