b. 19 November 1911, Greenville, Mississippi, USAd. 17 June 1986, Los Angeles, California.
American author and composer. Brother to Ruth Attaway and husband to Fran Scott. Noted for collaborations with Norman Luboff, Irving Burgie and Harry Belafonte during the mid-20th century "Calypso Craze."
