In a scene dominated mainly by a technique-driven, modernised death metal sound, Regicide looks to uphold the flag of the Old school. Regicide's sound incorporates the aggression of the Floridian style of DM with the more melodic approach of the Swedish Death metal. Also, firmly embedded in the band's foundation is the vibe and feel of the British OSDM bands born out of the Punk/Grindcore scene in the U.K. The word 'Regicide' literally means overthrowing of a throne by conspiracy, the concept is derived from Celtic Frost's earlier material.
