Biography

After an inspiring evening in 2015, absorbing the sonic vibes of their mutual favourite metal bands, two friends Jan and Gunnar decided to claim their periphery and the diverging melodic death doom band Fragmentum emerged.

Connected in previous metal projects Mental Shadow, Octahedron and Bellator they now fully represent Fragmentum, a musical, graphical and philosophical synergy.
Gunnar is resolute in his rhythm guitar playing, vocals, composing songs, web site development and programming as Jan takes up the lead guitar, grunt vocals, songwriting and design.
This alliance of musical creativity results in the adamant but sincere EP D!VERGE containing 3 agitating songs with rousing melodies and a diverging Daft Punk cover.

In December 2018 Herwig, having been a part of Bellator for several years, re-enforced the band on keyboards, and in February 2019 Frederik was brought on board on drums ultimately to solidify the bands live performance.
