Real name: Михаил Давыдович Львов = Рафкат Давлетович Маликов (Габитов)

Soviet poet and translator (Mikhail Davydovich Lvov). He was a soldier of the Ural Volunteer Tank Corps during World War II. Member of the CPSU (b) since 1950.
His wartime poems are best known: «Чтоб стать мужчиной — мало им родиться…», «Высота», «Письмо», «Звездочёту», «Первый день», «Поклонимся великим тем годам…» and others. To the words of this poem A. N. Pakhmutova wrote the song, which was first played on May 9, 1975 on air "before the mournful and solemn minute of Silence, like a hymn to the Victory".
