Some of his most noted works were Stumbling, Kitten on the Keys and Dizzy Fingers.
He charted as a songwriter seven times in the U.S. between 1921-27, including three by him and his orchestra. He had a #1 as a songwriter with "Stumbling" by Paul Whiteman & His Orchestra in 1922. His song "Kitten on the Keys" by Zez & his orchestra hit #5 on the charts twice--in 1921 and 1922 (first on Brunswick then on Victor). "Stumbling" covers by Billy Murray hit #4, #7 by Ray Miller & His Orchestra, and #15 by The Broadway Dance Orchestra, all in 1922. "Dizzy Fingers" by Zez and his orchestra hit #15 in 1927.
