Effective period / Period of releases: 2019

A party night at a stoner festival in 2016 is crucial for the founding of the band GODDYS. At first, the idea rises in the mind of guitarist Philipp and singer Emma, until Micha on bass and Daniel on drums joined them. The first rehearsals take place in the vaulted cellar of an old villa in Schmalkalden, in the Thuringian Forest. It took a long time to figure out the name they should give their band. GODDYS (GOD standing for perfection and DYS for deviation from the norm)- a name that stands for the beauty of the imperfect in the world as well as the fallibility of the seemingly perfect humanity. An infinite number of musical and lyrical themes open up. In 2019 they release their debut album Ambrosia with the accompanying music video for the title track. This is followed by a tour of small festivals and clubs. Many reviews confirm GODDYS a good start with their debut. After a successful opening of the year 2020, the break caused by the pandemic also caught GODDYS unexpectedly. Concerts are canceled or postponed and drummer Daniel leaves the band for personal reasons. The abyss that opens up inspires the rest of the band to write many new songs. Hannes supports GODDYS on drums since mid-2021. To complete the sound of the music David joins as a band member on the synthesizer. The work on the new record Monsters of Reality is now getting on. The individual songs on the album present a selection of monsters of our time. One of the monsters - Oddkilla - will be released on July 29, 2022 and will be available on all platforms. The rest of the monsters will follow on October 7, 2022.
