Mithras is a technical death metal band that was formed in 1998 in Rugby, (UK) by Leon Macey (guitar, drums, keyboards) and Rayner Coss (bass, vocals). As of 2016 they have released four full-length albums despite a fluctuating line-up, typically the band consists of Coss (who left the band in 2008 only to return in 2011 and later left permanently in 2016) and Macey, though other players have performed with the band over the years in a live or studio capacity.
