Toy Box Scholars is a hip-hop group from Providence, Rhode Island. Consisting of producer/MC Studs Ramrod & MCs Dialect, Opaque Meridian, Magma Grapple, Hewglamite (J. Hewgs) & Dreamski Roc, they have been active in the game for almost 20 years now. The crew has currently put out three albums (“The Smallest of Rooms,” “We Got the Love,” “Jazzy Boom Soul” and one EP “The Upbeat”, and continue to drop dope, feel-good music with abstract and laid-back lyricism. Toy Box Scholars represents a time in hip-hop when people made music for the art and the love of the craft rather than doing it for the money, and this chemistry has allowed them to put out some truly quality material.
