Bernice Petkere

American songwriter, dubbed the "Queen Of Tin Pan Alley" by Irving Berlin.
Born August 11, 1901 in Chicago, Illinois.
Died January 7, 2000 (aged 98) in Los Angeles, California.
Best known for writing "Starlight" which became a classic for Bing Crosby. She charted eight times between 1932 and 1964. She had a #1 song as a songwriter with "Lullaby of the Leaves" by George Olsen and His Orchestra in 1932 (co-written by Joe Young).
