Real name: Ferdinand Klein

German conductor, arranger, percussionist, bassist and producer. Klein was part of the standard line-up of the Harald Banter Ensemble in the 1950s, in which he played bass. Klein later was one of the main people responsible for music recordings in the Cologne area and led various studio orchestras, also under his alias Fred Silver. He was also the central contact person for arranging and coordinating musicians for recordings. He died November 1992 in Cologne.
