Triad

Effective period / Period of releases: 1987 - 1988

Members: Niklas Strömstedt, Lasse Lindbom, Janne Bark

Swedish pop trio, which before Christmas 1987 was noted for a success with the a cappella song "Tänd ett ljus".

They band consisted of three musicians who got to know each other thoroughly through the Lasse Lindbom Band, The Husbands and through Ulf Lundell's records and tours during the 1980s: bassist and producer Lasse Lindbom, guitarist Janne Bark and Niklas Strömstedt who played piano.

The success was followed up by an album. The question was whether there would be an entire album with only a cappella singing. For example, Strömstedt had written a song that the others, especially Lasse Lindbom, liked less. During a meeting at Riche, it was decided that the song did not fit. The album was released and peaked at number 44 in May 1988.[3] Additionally, the group felt that they were drifting apart musically, so Triad was put on ice rather quickly.

In the summer, the head of EMI called and asked if Strömstedt could release the rejected song, "Sista morgonen, as a solo artist.

Triad reunites sporadically, including in SVT's Allsång på Skansen on August 16, 2011.
