Dick Gleason

American songwriter.
His best known song is "Ready, Willing And Able", which he co-wrote with Al Rinker and Floyd Huddleston. The song charted twice: by Doris Day in 1957 it hit #7 in the U.K. and by The American Breed in 1968 (#84 in U.S.). He also charted with "Woman" twice, first by Johnny Desmond (#9, U.S.) in 1954 and later the same year by actor José Ferrer (#7, U.K.). The song's counterpart "Man (Uh-Huh)" by Rosemary Clooney (#7, U.K.) also charted that same year (co-written by Eddy McKean).
