John Reed
Real name: John X. Reed
Austin, Texas guitarist. Reed began playing guitar as a child in New Mexico and continued in the 1950’s and 60’s in Amarillo and Lubbock, Texas. He moved to Austin, Texas in 1970.Reed began playing guitar with The Supernatural Family Band in the mid 1970's, then continued with Texana Dames in 1988. He has also played with Doug Sahm, Alvin Crow and Roky Erickson among many others.
