Real name: Beverly (Freeman) (Mahr) Jenkins

American singer in the orchestra of Gordon Jenkins.
Born: 2 February 1914 in Bristow, Oklahoma, USA.
Died: December 1996. Sister of Judy Freeland.
She is credited as Beverly Mahr in 1953 on the Seven Dreams LP (Decca DL 9011). She married Jenkins, and they had a son. In 1964, Beverly Jenkins recorded an album for Impulse! entitled Gordon Jenkins Presents My Wife The Blues Singer.
Prior to Jenkins, she was married to songwriter Herman Carl "Curley" Mahr (m. 1937) Her name then is sometimes misspelled "Maher".
