Crash Course

Members: Matt Arluck, Miguel Barron

Nor-Cal punk/hardcore/skaterock group from San Jose, CA. 1988-1993

It was 1988 when Crash Course took to the practice shed in San Jose, California. Between sets at the Club Griffin skate ramp, Mat Arluck (Guitar), Todd Jackson (Drums) and John England (Bass) began to hone their brand of Nor-Cal punk. The Faction, Los Olvidados, Code of Honor– all the bands they were into were guys like them. Guys who took command of their boards as well as their guitars.
As the set list grew, so did the band. At the suggestion of mutual friend Joe Sib (front man of San Jose's Frontline) Miguel Barron joined on lead vocals and later bass.
From there, the Crash Course sound started taking shape.
