Blues singer and guitarist, born in Los Angeles, California, 1945, died in 2004.McFarland grew up in rural Oregon. From 1966 to 1973 he played in clubs in Portland, Oregon, then moved to Seattle and later to the San Francisco Bay Area. He returned to the Pacific Northwest in 1981 and continued to play there until the mid-1990s.
