UP was a South Korean, mixed gender, Pop group from the mid to late 1990s. They started off as trio that consisted of Kang Hyun, Kim Yong-il, and Lee Jae-jung. In early 1997, Kang Hyun left the group and was replaced by two new members that were both 16 years old at the time; Park Sang-hoo and Lee Jung-hee. This led to UP becoming a group of four. The release of their second album, which included the song "뿌요 뿌요 (Pyo Pyo)" became their largest national success. "뿌요 뿌요" was awarded #1 twelve times on many TV music programs in Korea. They went on to make two more album plus releasing a compilation album until their disbandment in 1999. In 1997, UP was awarded 5 times and won main prize at the SBS Song Competition. In 1998, they won at the Korean Performing Arts as well.
