American cornet and trumpet player (born Aug. 3, 1875 in San Valentino Torio, Salerno, Italy - died June 3, 1959 in Brooklyn, New York, USA)

Buono emigrated to the United States in 1890, where he settled in Brooklyn and became a naturalized citizen in 1899. Between 1901 and 1919, he recorded numerous records for Columbia. In the 1920s, he seems to have recorded only very little. By 1940, he worked as a self-employed music teacher.
