Masako Kawada, Japanese singer of children's songs. Born 12 December 1934, died 22 January 2006. Sang with the childrens' choir 音羽ゆりかご会 in her youth, and grew up to become a celebrated singer under the tutelage of Minoru Kainuma, her stepfather.Older sister of 川田正子 and older half-sister (different father) of 川田美智子, both also singers.
