Born in Hamburg (Germany) in 1959 and moved to Canada in 1981. He grew up in a family of artists and tried all sorts of instruments before deciding to formalize music studies. He graduated with a Bachelor of Music from the University of Victoria (British Columbia, Canada) in theory and composition, and a Master of Fine Arts from Mills College in Oakland (California, USA) in electronic music and recording technology. His focus is on instrumental compositions, soundtracks (also for computer games).
