Olmir Stocker

Olmir Stocker (b. 17 June 1936 in Taquari-RS), aka Alemão, is a Brazilian guitarist. In Porto Alegre, he worked at Rádio Gaúcha and accompanied several artists on TV, with special emphasis on Elis Regina. He was part of Breno Sauer's ensemble with whom he recorded six albums. After working with Roberto Carlos and Wanderléia, he joined saxophonist Casé and Hermeto Pascoal in the band Brazilian Octopus. He also released some albums as a solo artist and formed a long lasting duo with guitarist Zezo Ribeiro. Throughout his career, he participated in important festivals and toured many countries.
