Modern Jazz Brassband
A studio jazz band founded in 1963 and lead by Belgian trumpeter Theo Mertens. The band seems to have played only for the BRT (Dutch-speaking service of the Belgian Radio & Television).
There is little details on the actual composition of the band, only soloists are listed on the records label. Among the solists: Theo's brother, Albert Mertens, a trombonist, trumpet players Charlie Knegtel, Jules Van Dijck and Jean Pierre Philips and guitarist Freddy Sunder.
