Charlie Higgins
Old-time fiddler (b. February 26, 1878 in Galax, Virginia, d. November 25, 1967). Sometimes referred to as "Uncle Charlie Higgins". Recordings of Charlie Higgins are few, and limited to field recordings made with Wade Ward and Dale Poe, also from the Galax area, between 1959 and 1961 by folklorists Alan Lomax, Peter Hoover and John Cohen, that have been repackaged in various forms.
