Banda e Voz is a Brazilian contemporary Christian music band whose main influence is American black music, with soul and funk influences.The band became famous with their first album, released in 1985, but expanded their popularity in 1988 with the album Falando de Vida, whose title track, written by the then lead singer of Rebanhão, Carlinhos Felix, was recorded with his participation.
The group has been active in the Protestant milieu for over thirty years, releasing records on various labels. One of their vocalists, Natan Brito, recorded three solo albums and produced several singers in the 90s. Beno César, a well-known songwriter on the evangelical scene, was the band's bassist and one of their performers in the early years.
In 2008, the group released the album Nossa História (Our Story) to commemorate more than 20 years of career, receiving a symbolic gold record for more than fifty thousand copies sold.
