Raised in Amsterdam, Willie relocated to Lisbon, Portugal to live with his sister for 3 years before moving back to the Netherlands in 2005 and joining the rap formation De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig. In 2006, Willie Wartaal launched his solo career.
