Real name: Marvin Allan Kanarek

Drummer, singer-songwriter, and visual artist/painter, born January 18, 1947, in Havana, Cuba; died December 19, 2012,

Born in Havana, Cuba; moved to Toronto, Canada, at age 7; began music career and joined Canadian rock band Rough Trade in 1975; moved to Los Angeles, California, in 1979, working as a session and touring musician, The Beach Boys, Bo Diddley, Janis Ian, Burton Cummings and Randy Bachman of the Guess Who, among others. In 1992, moved to Montmartre in Paris, France, with his band Blue X (2).

Brother of Benjamin Kanarek.
