A Room Away is a three-member folk/pop/rock group formed by singer/songwriter Stephanie Brickey. The band came up with a distinct sound by blending modern folk lyricism with pop and straight-ahead rock arrangements. The band consists of Stephanie Brickey on acoustic guitar, Mike Hellebusch on electric guitar, and Dave Brickey on bass guitar. Stephanie’s vocal versatility allows her to perform each song with the intensity or subtleness it calls for. Her music has been compared to Mary-Chapin Carpenter, Kasey Chambers and Aimee Mann, just to name a few. Mike Hellebusch’s ace guitar work and keen sense of melody in every song is unmistakable. Dave Brickey’s solid bass work is the glue that holds it all together.
