Lamar Wright

Real name: Lammar Wright, Jr.

American jazz trumpeter (born September 28, 1927 in Kansas City, Missouri died July 08, 1983 in Los Angeles, California).
Not to be confused with his father Lammar Wright (1907-1973), also a jazz trumpeter. He is the brother of the trumpeter Elmon Wright.
He played with Lionel Hampton (1943-1946), Dizzy Gillespie (1947), Charlie Barnet among others, and recorded with R&B's stars as "The Coasters" and Otis Redding ('50s & '60s).
