Womba (or “Вомба” in Cyrillic) is a Russian avantgarde/experimental electronic project run by Tikhon S. Kubov. It has been active since 1995, though the first official album was released only in 2004 through R.A.I.G. Records. The music evolves from home manipulations with tapes, loops, samples, found sounds, various electronic devices and effects. The recordings are a sort of improvised oneiric sound-collages with heavy emphasis on absurd, psychotic and incidental.
