Subtract by Two began one late summer night near the University of North Carolina at Greensboro's campus when James W. Hill met Kyle Bobby Dunn. The two shared a similar taste in philosophy and late night coffee binges. The duo was short lived and folded shortly before the release of their EP, 'Agoniser Ecrire.' Kyle Bobby Dunn still performs and releases music under his own name and James W. Hill began the krautrock project Jamesisamonster.
