Jack Lloyd

US songwriter, author & actor. Special material writer of CBS TV's "Red Skeleton Hour"
Born: December 23, 1922 in Duisberg, Germany
Died: May 21, 1976 (age 53) in Los Angeles, California, USA

He acted in radio in New York and Hollywood, eventually becoming a director by the early 1940s. Coming to Hollywood in 1951, he wrote for "The Bob Crosby Show" for three years, then "The Giselle MacKenzie Show" and "The Red Skelton Show" from 1958. He had two songs chart in the U.K.: 1973's "When Bouzoukis Played" by Vicky Leandros hit #44 (co-written by Klaus Munro, Leo Leandros & Ralf Arnie); and 1974's "Goodbye My Love, Goodbye" by Demis Roussos hit #52 (co-written by Klaus Munro & Leo Leandros (as Mario Panas).
