Real name: Franklin Swan (Orvis) Driggs

American jazz historian, author and record producer.
As producer, he worked for Columbia from late 50s until 70s.
Well know for his collection of jazz photographs and memorabilia, started in 1952,
that counted more than 100,000 pieces. When credited for photography,
usually means that a photo is from his collection, rather than him having taken the photo.

Died September 20, 2011 in Manhattan, New York.
