Caroline De Bendern
Real name: Caroline de Bendern
Effective period / Period of releases: 2012
British disinherited aristocrat, artist and former model living in France. She became famous when a photograph taken during the tumultuous events of May 1968 went viral: the image of her holding the Vietcong flag over a sea of young protesters was reproduced worldwide. She was married to Barney Wilen and made the movie "À L’intention De Mlle Issoufou À Bilma" documenting their study trip to Africa in 1970. (It was reissued on DVD and annexed to some reissues of Barney Wilen - Moshi.)
