Chris Rose

Effective period / Period of releases: 2017

Growing up in Port Macquarie NSW, Singer - songwriter Chris Rose has always been blessed with ample helpings of beach and bush to inspire his music.
Spending much of his youth with like-minded friends, guitar in hand, and song writing notepad at the ready, there was little doubt where his future would take him. Throughout his teens, Chris got his first taste of live performances at school variety concerts and local talent quests.
Chris penned his first solo song ‘Nowhere Land’ sitting on the gusty Lighthouse Beach headland, near his childhood home.
In 2009 the TDP (Talent Development Project) based at The Sydney Entertainment Centre came calling, and Chris looked on it as an opportunity to hone his craft and to share his original music with new audiences and industry mentors. The program has previously shaped the early careers of many of Australia’s most well-known country artists such as Morgan Evans, Brad Cox, and The McClymonts to name a few.
Dedicated to his craft, Rose has over 12 years experience performing live on the touring/festival circuit. From large-scale events such as the Australia Day Spectacular at Circular Quay, to support tours and festivals. Chris has shared the stage with some of Aussie music’s most iconic artists including Icehouse, Sheppard, The McClymonts, Thirsty Merc, The Black Sorrows, and Daryl Braithwaite.
In 2012 Chris signed his very first major label record deal. It confirmed to Chris that being true to himself and sharing his passion for writing his own brand of melodic songs was the path he wanted to follow, as an independent artist.
Following two single releases in late 2021, ‘Made For Loving You’ and ‘Hometown’ which turned heads in the Aussie country scene. Chris has been working feverishly behind the scenes with long – time producer Stuart Stuart on a string of new music for 2022 and beyond. Kicking off with the release of high energy collaboration duet alongside country pop songstress Chelsea Berman, titled ‘Things We Shouldn’t Do’.
