Cynthia Ann Birdsong-Hewlett is an American singer, born on December 15, 1939 in Camden, New Jersey, USA as Cynthia Ann Birdsong. She is an actress, known for Tarzan (1966), The Ed Sullivan Show (1948) and TCB (1968). She replaced Florence Ballard in The Supremes in 1967 and left in 1972. Returned to the group in 1973 but then left again in 1976. After leaving The Supremes she became a nurse. She was previously married to Charles Hewlett. Kidnapped on December 2, 1969 at knifepoint. She escaped by jumping out of a speeding car on the Hollywood Freeway.
