American punk band from Austin, Texas. The group's original lineup was Chepo Peña, Ryan McDaniel, Paul Newman and Keith Palumbo.
Active starting in the early 1990s, the group settled out of court with the British indie band Gomez over the use of their name. Since then, the Austin band has performed some reunion shows in 1998 and beyond under names such as G.O.M.E.Z. or The Greatest American Gomez.
