Real name: David Charles Hall

Effective period / Period of releases: 1970

US country songwriter, bassist, tenor singer active in Nashville, TN. Performed with Faron Young. Often associated with Russ Allison. Dave played bass and served as frontman from 1969-72. After leaving the music business, he worked with Royalty Department and Creative Team at HoriPro. He wrote two of the songs on Faron’s 1971 It’s Four In the Morning album: “It’s Not the Miles” and “Night Coach Out Of Dallas.” He gave co-writer credit to bus driver Lewis Redding, because “He and I rode down the road a lot at night, me with a guitar in my hand.” Opened "Pennymaker Music" with Paul Russell in Nashville, TN, in the late 70s. Born in 1941 - Died on January 19, 2018.

Do NOT confuse with the country / soul songwriter from Tupelo, MS, Dave Hall (13).
