En Plo formed in Athens in 1985 by Dinos Sadikis (vocals), Dimos Zamanos (guitar), Dimitris Kafousias (bass), and Hristos Politis (drums). Sadikis and Politis had previously played together in a band called Mavra Tigania.

The trio started rehearsals at the house of Zamanos. They were joined by (ex Mavra Tigania member) Mimis Kafousias (bass), Regina Makri (vocals) and Στράτος Αλοίμονος (keyboards). With the help of another former Mavra Tigania member, Stefanos Kanellis, they released their first 10-song demo in 1987. This demo was given to some friends and record labels, but thal line-up disbanded in October of the same year.

Sadikis and Zamanos re-start the band, with Kostas Kalogiros taking the place of Politis on drums. In the spring of 1988, they enter the studio to record an album, financed by friend Andreas Hristofilis, who also produced. The recording did not satisfy the band, and they finally re-recorded the material in early '89. In May 1989 their sole eponymous album was released by label Penguin. Once the record was released, a mystery surrounded the band because their names were not listed on the record, and there was no photo of them either.

After the album's release, Filippas Athanasiou and Fotis Papadopoulos join the band on bass and guitar respectively. With this line-up, they give their only 2 live shows at Club Rodon, supporting Green On Red in the winter of 1989. A little later the band record the song ''421'' (later released on a compilation), and remix 4 older ones, with the intention of releasing a 12" EP. This release did not happen then, but was eventually put out in 2015 as Οι Νύχτες.

In November 1991, included in an issue of the fanzine "In the Shadows of B-23", the band releases a 7'' single with the songs "Αντιλαλούν οι Φυλακές" (a Markos Vamvakaris cover) and "Είχα Έρωτες". Soon after, the band breaks up. In 1996 2 songs of the band were released in 7" single Και Λοιπόν Τί; and on the AIDS victim compilation Act Up / Εν Τούτω Νίκα.

Sadikis went on to release 2 solo albums in the following years, and also collaborated with Γιάννης Αγγελάκας. Politis, Kafousias and Alimonos released an album as Επόμενη Κίνηση.

Zamanos was found dead in December of 1998, victim of a suspected suicide. He was 38 years old.
