*1940, Berlin, German organist. Piano and organ lessons with Wolfram Iwer, 1956-1959 studies at the Greifswald School Of Church Music (Kirchenmusikschule Greifswald) with Hans Pflugbeil. Church musician at Lehnin/Mark, Jüterbog and Berlin. 1962-1967/68 evening and corrspondence courses at the Leipzig Academy of Music (Hochschule für Musik in Leipzig) with Hannes Kästner. Cathedral organist in Berlin (1983-2005) and from 1980 to 1990 part-time lecturer for artistic organ playing at the School of Church Music, Halle/Saale (Kirchenmusikschule Halle/Saale).
