Al Dugan was a pianist, organist, and a music teacher affiliated with the Rock Island, Illinois, studio of The Kaiser Piano Company, whose main showroom and studio was located at 402 East Locust in Davenport, Iowa. Newspaper announcements of the annual spring recital performances for Dugan's students were published as late as May 1963.
Albia Lewzader, born on August 16, 1906, in Davenport, Iowa, was the daughter of Ulysses S. Grant Lewzader (1884-1972) and Ella Marie (Meyer) Lewzader (1887-1975). She married Chester Dugan on June 29, 1927, at St. Alphonsus Church in Davenport, a ceremony which featured Genevieve O'Connor as the organist. Dugan passed away on September 24, 1972, at Moline Lutheran Hospital.
