Antar Daly

Antar Daly. Cuban composer, percussionist and singer. He was born on April 1, 1921 in Cuba. He died in August 1983 in New York, USA.
In Mexico he joined the Pérez Prado Orchestra when Benny Moré left. He was in the Ramón Márquez Orchestra, the Justi Barreto Ensemble and the Juan S. Garrido Orchestra.
Resident in New York since the 1950s, where he founded his ensemble Batiri, later expanded to an orchestra, then moved to the Duboney Orchestra. He was the creator of the “Batiri” rhythm.
