James Terry Lawson

Dr. James Terry Lawson (b. 1905 in West Calder, Midlothian, Scotland) practiced medicine and sang bass-baritone for the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and Choir, the Bach Choir, the Queens Avenue United Church Choir and on CBC radio. He emigrated to Canada at the age of nine to Winnipeg in 1914, arrived in New Westminster BC in 1938. He wrote "Full-Throated Ease" on the technique of voice production for singing.
