Real name: Karl Gunnar Svante Thuresson

Svante Thuresson was a Swedish jazz singer, actor and voice actor, born 7 February 1937 in S:t Johannes församling, Stockholm, Sweden. Died 10 May 2021.

He started out as a jazz drummer, and sang in backing vocal groups, before joining vocal group Gals and Pals in 1963. He appeared as extras in light, Swedish comedies, and did a lot of voice-over, as well as singing jazz duets with new, young and popular artists. But his main love was always jazz singing...

In 1966, he and Lill Lindfors ended up 2nd place in ESC (Eurovison Song Contest) with 'Nygammal vals'.
