Romanian musician, nicknamed the ''Orchestra Man''.
Born on March 5,1957 - died on October 6, 2003 of a heart attack.
Petre Căplescu, his father, was trumpeter in Orchestra De Estradă A Radioteleviziunii.
Attended the School of Music no. 3 of Bucharest, where he studied piano. At the advice of his father, Doru Caplescu attended the "Dinu Lipatti" Music High School in Bucharest (classes VI-XII), from which he graduated in 1976.
Since 1975, Entertainment Doru Căplescu begin to work with Orchestra De Estradă A Radioteleviziunii.
1979, debuted on a single album, with Adina Dumitriu, realizing orchestration and piano accompaniment.
