Irish folk group from Dublin founded in 2000, becoming Lankum in 2017.

Originally formed as an experimental-psychedelic-folk-punk duo by brothers Ian and Daragh Lynch in the early 2000s, they progressed through a number of incarnations, culminating in a four-piece along with Cormac Mac Diarmada and Radie Peat, who joined in 2012. In 2016 the band decided that they would no longer continue with the name Lynched to avoid unintended association with the racist practice of lynching.
