Formed in 1980, Membrillar burst forth as a fresh conception of "folk fusion", equidistant from dogmatism of every sign: open music, inspired by folk tradition and crossed by jazz, rock and academic music, like its four members (Eric Giles, Gustavo Lagües, Gustavo Mozzi and Willie Raimondi). Membrillar's brief experience was inscribed in the effervescent scene of the 80s and reflected in the self-titled album, released in 1983 by Ciclo 3.
