Scary Font is the project of Philadelphia/PA/USA-based musician, photographer, graphic artist and writer M. Primak. For over 25 years, he contributed as percussionist for the groups Appalachian Translator and Garbage Snake, and since 2004 has served as keyboardist for the ambient/drone/post-rock collective Northern Valentine. In 2002, he co-founded the proto-synthwave project Manathan and the Friends and produced a self-titled EP and the full-length "Bring on the Dreams."

Since 2010, he has produced music under the moniker s c a r y f o n t. His initial recordings were included in a limited-edition SoundCloud compilation in 2011. In February of 2017, he issued his first maxi-single "Spire," and released the single "Centurion" in September 2018. The 11-plus minute "Shedding" was completed and issued in January 2020.
