Real name: Clive Darren Black

Aged 16, Clive Black started his music industry career as an office junior for Island Records. He moved into the world of A&R, working at EMI between 1983-1992 and WEA between 1993-1995. Key signings include Marc Almond, Babylon Zoo and Eternal (2). In 1995, aged 31, he returned to EMI as Managing Director.

He left EMI in 1997, and formed Blacklist Entertainment. He struck a label deal with Edel Records (UK), creating dance label free2air Recordings in the process. In 2004 he completed a mangement buy-out of Edel UK, giving him 81% ownership of the company.

In 2009, he signed on to be Trevor Horn's manager, involved with all parts of Trevor's SPZ group.
