Real name: Zenzontle

Mexican group of music from Veracruz, Mexico. The Zenzontle group, which in the Nahuatl language means “Bird of four hundred voices”. This group was formed in 1987 with four musicians of recognized trajectory, who have a fundamental purpose: to preserve and spread the music of Veracruz. Convinced that folklore and popular music have been the seed of important musical works and a source of inspiration for great composers in all times and places, Zenzontle also aims to spread the traditional melodies of the Spanish-speaking peoples. Zenzontle is made up of Maestros Armín Sarmiento, José Luis and Salvador Melgarejo.
